These pamphlets concern, on the first hand Sir William Temple (1628 - 1699), and Simon Du Cros who was active in the seventeenth century. They are connected by the Dutch War of 1672 - 1678. Temple was instrumental in arranging the marriage between William of Orange and Princess Mary of England in 1677.
