This time around, Monkeys on Cocaine finds him teaming up with guitarist/producer Frank Carillo (Doc Holliday band) with some more South Texas rock and roll (and a fine Leadbelly cover tune). Often imitated; never duplicated-Augie Meyers is a legend.
