A pawn storm is a chess strategy in which several pawns are moved in rapid succession towards the opponent’s defences. A pawn storm usually involves adjacent pawns on any one side of the board (kingside or queenside). Literature is scarce or not existent, only a Dvd by Daniel King covers this matter. A reckless attack will have no chance of success, therefore guidelines in attack and defence will be given, together with sample games. As usual in my books the approach will be that of the deductive teaching, the enunciation comes first, the description or explanation follow, ending with examples of application. Opposed to the inductive teaching, trying to extract the rule from examples. Many games are not commented, as this book is concerned only about pawn storms, and not general strategies of Masters' games. However the diagrams will show the beginning of the sequence, and sometime the end. As we talk not of a single pattern, but of a sequence of moves, a chessboard will be needed to follow the games. As an alternative choice, you can follow the moves by the links provided, an Internet connection being needed.
